Tranquil bedroom design

Designing remotely is always a challenge, as I do like to get a feel for the space that I'm working on. It does however mean that I can offer cost effective design and styling advice at an affordable budget to clients further afield.

In this case, my client sent over some lovely inspiration images that she had collected, but was struggling to bring together for her own space. There were also a few design issues to over come. Built in wardrobes and opening doors left no space for bedside tables for instance, and the existing curtain pole meant the curtains blocked light from the window.

Basing the concept around the headboard, which was new and a strong focal point I pulled together a soft, elegant colour palette to meet the brief that's i'd understood from the inspiration shots. I designed shaped bedside tables which would allow the wardrobe door to open, created featured to bring in hotel style lamps off brackets and of course recommended extending the curtain rail.

Can't wait to see the finished thing
